Orvel has extensive corporate experience with business development, start-ups, corporate structure and reorganizations, corporate governance, partnerships, and shareholder and joint venture agreements. His commercial practice encompasses high-level commercial transactions, leasing and security, mergers and acquisitions, International (U.S.) transactions, takeovers, banking, private finance, capital market, construction projects, competition law compliance, intellectual property and related licensing, the patent process, and cyber security.
Orvel has a long history in government relations and a broad range of experience working with all levels of Canadian governments throughout Western Canada including municipal, regional, provincial, and federal governments. He regularly advises all levels of governments and quasi-municipal entities on public policy issues and assists them through regulatory matters.
