Mark is an articling student with DD West. Before attending law school, Mark completed a master’s degree in City Planning at the University of Manitoba and worked as a project manager in sustainability and urban planning applications. He worked in community engagements, researched development-related by-laws, and helped in the planning of a new neighbourhood at the University of Manitoba.
While in law school, he participated in the 2020 Kawaskimhon Moot on the issue of over-representation of Indigenous peoples in the criminal justice system. He has also worked as an assistant for a Robson Hall Professor on a research project on Indigenous international diplomacy.
Mark is co-author of a Social Science and Humanities Research Council-funded project on Indigenizing the Co-operative model.
In his spare time, Mark enjoys cycling, camping and hiking. He has volunteered at an organization of First Nations, as well as community and urban planning related activities.
